1.A POEM. It’s called If I Had Three Lives by the Whitlams
I am so sorry to get sappy but this poem. Made me think about life and the paths you choose and maybe there is whole other dimension where another “you” made a whole other set of decisions and what’s the right life? I don’t believe there is a right life but I do sometimes wonder about other decisions. And if you could go back knowing what you know now, would you? of course we can’t go back but I’m wondering if you would. Do you think of one specific moment or time period? Maybe that’s just being human. I Love when poems make me spiral. Happily spiral.
And it always seems that everyone is searching for a person because alone time is nice but it’s also scary for a lot of people. Because finding THAT person, it’s rare, I don’t see it too much but we all hope for it, don’t we. Because it’s supposed to be magic, it just is.
2.Anywaysssss…..Olio E Osso (blush!! bronzer!! multi use!!) is amazing.
As seen here - I use these daily. I use the color Ganache as a bronzing color and I use Crimson as a blush. Olio E Osso is a clean beauty brand, they smell good, you can use them as eyeshadow, blush bronzer, lipstick etc etc. I always come back to these and I have a tried a lotttttttttt of products.
3.A LITTLE WISHLIST
It is Fall!! It’s also 90 degrees in LA but there is a wee wind in the evenings so I’ll take it. Here are some of my recent saves:
Gabriel for Sach!!! The orange bag has been on my wishlist for so long now and the yellow set?? Every item on their website basically. All their products are locally made by artisans in Barcelona.
Their bags though.
THIS WHOLE OUTFIT BUT WITH THIS SHIRT. AND THE ABOVE BAGS.
Also on my wishlist are these rib knit tops from Arket below. They are perfect for Fall and great to wear under jackets/layers for the colder months. I’m also eyeing their perfect trench coat.
Anddddd this & other stories top. I’m very into this blue color right now.
AND DEPOP FINDS!! Because thrifting is fun and finding those gems is *chefs kiss* AND sustainable.
4.ARTIST FRITZ SCHOLDER
Fritz Scholder is a Native American artist that was born in Minnesota, grew up in the Midwest and later moved to California. Scholder’s works are included in collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, Phoenix’s Heard Museum and the Phoenix Art Museum, the Smithsonian’s American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., and the Bibliotheque Nacionale in Paris.
“Fritz Scholder’s frank depictions of American Indians made him the most successful and highly regarded painter of Native Americans in U.S. history. Arguably the genre’s most influential figure, Scholder revitalized and reconfigured "Indian art," forging a unique amalgamation of Expressionism, Color Field, and Pop art to convey his singular take on the experience of the modern American Indian, about which one critic said he “broke the mold.”- Source
If you have a chance to see one of his exhibits, please do for me! Dive deeper and read more about Scholder here.
5.SEZANE (!)
Okaaaaay so I saw someone wearing this necklace via Instagram and I love the idea. Butttt I am not a huge fan of their charm options so I went on Etsy and searched for some vintage pendants. You can add any pendant you want to the chain and change it up. You can also layer them. Definitely a versatile piece. I like the idea of layering the green and white chains with different pendants. Found some cool vintage pendants here, here, here, and here. Just search vintage pendant on Etsy and you will find lots of cool options!
Anddddd I leave you with some recent follows on Instagram including Helena Vestergaard - love her style (lots of fitspo), she is also a mental health advocate and yogi. I also love Elia Vintage for amazing vintage finds.
Goodbye and go eat some THPAGHETTI.
