A Flore Flore top that is bound to sell out, rating hairbrushes, my new glasses (I am seeing in HD), what I'd wear from Zara, a pet accessory, good reads + more
your early August scroll
*this post is too long for email, I recommend reading it in the Substack app*
I’m in denial that we are in August. This Summer has felt strange. But here we are! Today-
I browsed Zara new arrivals for you
a chic doggy waste bag
new top from Flore Flore that I think will sell out
Massimo Dutti browsing (I miss going into the real store)
my new Warby Parker glasses that are cayyuute
rating hair brushes
Baggu towels and other home finds
why famous female artists of the past didn’t have children
corn is very good right now + more!
wearing: I browsed through Zara’s new arrivals and found a few gems. Beginning with this white linen bomber. I also thought linen top could be cool. And this bead cord necklace. If my back wouldn’t instantly snap in half after 15 minutes, I’d wear these platform sandals around town. A few more below.

Something for my dog and me (mostly me). The Instagram ads got me with this Ossa pet waste bag. It’s cute!!!
I saw this very cute pajama set (top + bottom) by Australian brand Juem on Amalie Reedtz-Thott- they are a very worth checking out.
Also browsed some of Ssense’s new arrivals- this Flore Flore top immediately jumped to the top of my wishlist. I want it in white and black. I am very impressed with my Flore Flore esme tank and now want to replace all my tanks with this brand.
This Kallmeyer top via Ssense is giving me the same vibe as this top worn by Lara Worthington. Or this Ami Paris one.
Massimo Dutti’s new collection has started trickling in and it’s looking good. When I was in London I could not go into this store without buying something- they style all the products as outfits in store so it makes you want to try on the whole outfit versus one piece. Sort of genius. Plus the styling is great.
Miu Miu looking polo, suede bermuda shorts, flared trousers, cool belts (love this one) and oversized shirt with buckles to name a few favorites.
Doen’s pre-Fall collection also arrived but what randomly jumped out at me was this belt used for styling. Assuming it’s vintage or an Etsy find so I did some digging. This one from Etsy is pretty similar. This seashell one is also cool. Also cute.
Warby Parker kindly gifted me a pair of glasses and I had bunches of fun trying on different pairs- see video below.
I decided to go with the Reiner glasses in manuka (was overjoyed when I heard this was the name of the color I picked as a honey lover). Also shocked that the total WITH prescription lenses was $95. Here is me being smart and studious with my book below.
Hansel from Basel sporty series socks. I saw these at local boutique, Parc, and loved them. They can also be used for pilates.
I have been lusting after this Beaufille belt. I would be okay owning everything on their website. It’s genuinely perfection. These shorts?? This dress with the leather jacket over it??
I was looking for a decent rain coat and I decided to go with this red Uniqlo one that also has UV protection.
One of my favorite follows ever is Nhogirl, the best styling and overall aesthetic- they are a vintage showroom in Amsterdam. Founder Amy Pham Thi is a must follow as well.
Shop more of my Ssense favorites here and my wishlist here.
beauty: I went on a hairbrush journey via TikTok and have added the Yves Durif brush to my wishlist. I have some nice hairbrushes, I think it’s important especially if you have fine and fragile hair or use a lot of heat on it. I have the Sheila Stotts brush which is great, I think originally made for extensions but I want one that is a bit gentler. I also have a Mason Pearson dupe (mini Sonia Kashuk boar brush via eBay years ago) and I bring it everywhere.
home: Did you know that Baggu had towels? They have some very fun colors happening.
Austin Austin offers beautiful soap & hand cream gift sets. The boxes are gorg.
I love these little pouches for traveling, you could fill them with all sorts of fun things like cosmetics, supplements and hand sanitizer. FUN.
Went down a rabbit hole of artist Jennifer Rochlin’s ceramic pieces.
reading: I loved reading this Substack piece by
titled, “Do famous artist have famous kids? It made me do a few deep dives and I saved this book to read- Ninth Street Women by Lee Krasner. She touches on the fact that a lot of famous female artist did not have children, a subject I find interesting to ponder on.I also added The Group by Mary McCarthy to my TBR list, a recommendation via
book club.I FINALLY finished Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, he is a genius- his writing is mind blowing. The first half took me a while to get through but I blew through the second half. A very interesting book that summons thought-provoking empathy, something I think fiction does a better job of.
I just started Hello Beautiful (via my Mom’s recommendation). I also bought The Old Man by the Sea (Italian book translated to English) and The Paris Novel.
“What does the money machine eat? It eats youth, spontaneity, life, beauty, and, above all, it eats creativity. It eats quality and shits quantity.”- The Noösphere
Interesting interview with Fleabag and Baby Reindeer’s producer, Francesca Moody.
Loved this piece via Art Forum by Lila Lee-Morrison on filming the movie Kids in the 90’s with Chloe Sevigny.
watching: I saw Superman last week, it was entertaining and definitely political. Also Superman is a cutie patootie.
When I want to zone out on the couch with no worries or thoughts, I put on The Buccaneers on Apple TV and ascend into 1870’s drama.
“The series follows a group of young, wealthy American women who travel to London in the 1870s to find husbands and navigate high society, exploring themes of culture clash, tradition, friendship, and love. It's often compared to "Bridgerton" due to its similar setting and focus on romance and social dynamics.”
listening: The Row’s August playlist.
And I’ve been continuing to add songs to my Summer playlist. Feeling very emo that Summer is coming to an end.
ingesting: Seasonal produce and recipe ideas via
’s Instagram.I had corn the other day and it was DELICIOUS. I pulled the below image from Pinterest and it had no source but this is how I’ve been trying to eat this Summer. YUM.
This pancake mix on CAP Beauty has so many good reviews.
If you’re not following
’s Substack, specifically her into the fridge series, you are missing out. Who doesn’t like to take a look into someone else’s fridge/pantry? I enjoyed this recent one where she rates healthy meal delivery services. Thanks for reading, bye friends! x
In case you missed it-
My Yves Duriff hairbrush recently snapped in half mid-brush 💔 granted I have coarse, thick, wavy/curly hair but just a warning! It was heartbreaking and now I’m on the hunt for a new brush.
Omg this is a fab edit and thank you so much for the shoutout!!!!
