Breaking my spending hiatus, help me find a pair of pants, jewels on jewels, the best vitamin c's, a country playlist yeehaw, + noses
And other goodies
Welcome back to another week of me spending too much time on my phone! Hope you are all having a pleasant week, let’s get started:
Wearing: These Mango heels and skirt. I have been on a spending hiatus and broke it with these two purchases and they were worth it, the skirt is so versatile and the heels are very high but actually comfortable.
I have been hunting for this suede jacket I saw on Laura Harrier for weeks and found some good dupes on Poshmark. Here. This Beyond Sport one is really good. Another fun one. Also good. I ended up buying this one for $15. If anyone knows where hers is actually from, please share!
These pants I spotted on Lucy Williams. They are sold out COS pants and I am upset. Maybe they will bring them back in the Fall?
This thin leather long skirt by DL1961. Saw it on Gigi Hadid and liked the movement of it versus a stiff skirt.
I’m still looking for the perfect jean and a model came into work recently with the most perfect pair for taller gals and she said to go into Redone on Melrose, so I guess that’s where I will be. Stay tuned on what I find.
You think we’re forgetting your dog today?? Guess again, as it may be time that your dog puts on a wee sweater. Like this sweater from Le Pull, I mean???

Hair: I feel very vindicated for my love for my Sam McKnight texture spray!! I posted about this texture spray here and shortly after Laura Reilly of the best, Magasin, posted her entire beauty routine (and she does her research!) and she also had rave reviews for it.
Also, it’s going incredibly well with the Typlogy brow and lash serum I posted about in January. My eyebrows are wilding out, especially the ends where they tend to be more sparse. Highlyyyyyyy recommend this stuff.
Very into this vibe right now, easy to pull off and you can use any clip from CVS or take it up a notch and find a vintage one like so or like so on Etsy.
Also think this red claw clip from Emi Jay in red is for cute.

Jewels: The way I want these Jessica McCormack emerald earrings as seen on Zoey Kravitz.
Also been obsessing over Sapir Bachar. These earrings and this necklace specifically!!
Also these Completed Work earrings are insane. See them on Jessica Clarke here. You can see where I sadly add more dream pieces to my wishlist here.
Lastly, this Instagram shop is great for finding sweet little charms.

Skin: Victoria Beckham’s top shelf on Into The Gloss. Yessss.
Liz Moody said this is the best dupe for Skin Ceuticals vitamin C, she said the results are the same but for a fifth of the price. Dying to try this!
If you want to go a pricier route for Vitamin C, I did a deep dive on Hannah Baxter’s top shelf (she really knows her stuff and has tried it all), and she said she has gone through five bottles of this stuff. “The issue with vitamin C is that it’s so unstable and the shelf life is short, so you have to use that shit or it will turn. Protocol formulates in a facility that’s free of oxygen and light and also used by NASA, which is so cool. I’ve gone through five bottles of the Superserum. It’s one of the best on the market.” I think I screenshotted 18 thing from this article.

Everyone raves about this Le Prunier sunscreen but it’s $78!! For those who have tried it, what’s the deal??
I am verrrrrrrry close to pulling the trigger on an LED mask and have been doing a ton of research, Reddit rabbit holes, this article and more. I have come to the conclusion that the best one is the Omnilux. Stay tuned.

Art: Loup Sarion’s, “Kölnische Nase.”

Home: Currently very into this candle holder by Niko June. I think the larger version is sold out but smaller version can be found here.
Vegetable candles via Nonna’s Grocer.
_
Reading: The Puzzling Gap Between How Old You Are And How Old You Think You Are by The Atlantic.
Chaos Theory by Atmos. I think about the below a lot.
Also reading, Get the Picture by Bianca Bosker, and it’s all about art and the why??

Watching: GAP x Jungle collaborated for their Linen Moves Campaign, if you haven’t seen a Jungle music video, you are missing out and this was a great move by Gap featuring Tyla!
Rewatching the movie, Before Sunset.
I am also rewatching Sex and the City from the beginning as my new comfort show in the evenings and wow, there were truly some amazing outfits. Also Sarah Jessica Parker’s hair is incredible in every episode. Which lead me to this Instagram account called, Finding Carrie’s Closet, where she also sells some of the pieces she finds from the show. Also good.

Listening: Charlotte Day Wilson’s new song, I Don’t Love You.
Also, May Ninth by Khruangbin.
I am taking a trip to Nashville so I made an unhinged country playlist for people who don’t like country. It started with Beyonce’s new country song and ended with me staying up until 1AM hyper focusing on this because ADD. I also don’t listen to country music but here we are.
Suki Waterhouse finished her new album and I am WAITING patiently.
_
Ingesting: I love these mushroom tinctures from Rainbo especially the 11:11 and the Lions’ Mane.
I’ll never stop raving about how good this matcha is.
_
I’m going to end this with some new Substacks I started following that I am very into!
Lara Worthington just started a Substack and she is a major girl crush so we are thrilled!!
Feed Me by Emily Sundberg. So so so good.
Add to Wishlist by Otegha Uwagba. Goes into amazing depth and fashion deep dives.
The Ceiling. Very good fashion and they are based in Amsterdam so enough said.
Chic Things by The Millennial Decorator. A vintage pro and incredible finds.
Great Women Artist. Also a very good podcast. Women in art!
Thank you for reading and happy almost weekend!
🤠
I had that DL1961 leather skirt in my hands a few weeks ago but did NOT pull the plug! It’s gorgeous! Perhaps I can afford it now with all the $ I’ll be saving on Vitamin C serum?! 😉 Great content Moll!
