pinterest to real life a mini series part I
a quickie
Getting dressed has become very difficult given the -14 degree high and we all need some inspiration. My favorite sources of inspiration for outfits are books (specifically this book, A Dictionary of Color Combination), people watching, magazines, movies/TV shows, Pinterest, Instagram and concerts (the artist outfit for the show).
This is the beginnings of a series where I will take said source (today happens to be from Pinterest (originally Instagram stories) and recreate the outfit using my own closet OR recreate using pieces I would purchase from The RealReal, Depop and so on.
Today’s inspiration comes from one of my favorite British stylist, Phoebe Lettice Thompson.
Obviously, I don’t have these exact pieces but I got inspiration from the color combination and realized I had a few things in my closet where I could make this my own. This is greeeat for when you are getting ready for work in the morning and need some quick inspiration to help put the pieces together. Here is how I put it together:
I also have a longer leather jacket I may try this with and mess with different pants/tucking in the shirt. We like options! Also doing this with different colors like a white turtle neck with a fun colored blouse etc.
