Some good sales, a great basics brand, skirts & shorts, Marni heels via The RealReal that someone needs, a U-neck sweater, skincare tea + more
We made it to April
I think Wednesday is my new posting day (famous last words) but I am aiming for Wednesday’s and an occasionally Friday. TBD. I am currently in North Carolina, this place is out of a movie, I mean really!!
We visited Bald Head Island and wowww, if you watched The Summer I Turned Pretty- it was filmed around this area and it’s picturesque. The beaches are stunning and mostly empty. Is there a greater feeling then running on a near empty beach next to your dog that is smiling with true bliss??? The water is BLUE and the sand is white. Highly recommend taking a trip to the Carolinas.
Wearing: A brand I just discovered - Wao. They are a unisex brand sold on FWRD and they are decently affordable. They have some really good basics, I’ve specifically been eyeing the tank tops and the navy jorts.

There is a three pack of the tank tops here for $148.
FRWD is having a pretty good sale, another good pair of navy jorts like the above are these Carhartt’s on sale for $83. These Helsa cheeky shorts, good for Summer naps for $77. A green patent leather tote by Museum of Peace & Quiet for $72. And these verrrry cute Helsa mini heels for $57 (from $438)!!
I saw this Mansur Gavriel bag in white here at a boutique in North Carolina and I loved it. It’s so simple and elegant, I scoured the internet for it secondhand, even using the handy app Gem I posted about last week and only this one came up in brown for $400 via Poshmark. The below is the one on my wishlist so fingers crossed it pops up The RealReal!!
Being in this 75 degree weather has me thinking about skirts and shorts. Here are the ones I have my eyes on. I am new to the brand Hand Over but they have some items I am likinggggg. How cool is this skirt?

Another very cute skirt from The RealReal (it’s Reformation) size XS for $56. This Reformation polka dot one too. I love this Doen one too but they are on the pricier side.
Okaaaay these Marni heels via The RealReal (if you are a size 11).

Studio Amelia has some amazing shoes like these and these.
And these cute Moschino heels via Depop!
These Gimaguas shimmer pants on Depop are very fun (size large, $115).
I’d wear this skirt in Colorado or Montana, or Nashville. yeehaw.
I love this swallowtail butterfly shirt by Tyler McGillivary. We are feeling colorful!!
I fear I may need this cashmere sweater by Aya Muse. They have so much good stuff right now. And double layering!!
I love the cut of this Reformation tank.
This is why I love the Garmentory!! I thought these were all sold out but here they are on Garmentory and on sale!! In my size! The yellow is so good.
When Recho Omondi speaks, I take notes. Hiiiiighly recommend her podcast, The Cutting Room Floor. You will learn so much. She raved about these U-neck sweaters by Linder Sport and they look great and are $85. I’m going for an XL.
Skin: If you get T Magazine’s newsletter, you may have seen this in your inbox on, how to exfoliate your skin. I found it very helpful especially the advice from facialist, Shani Darden.
I bought this RMS cleanser while here and I am loving it. It has no smell and gets all my makeup off. It feels super clean the bottle is glass and sleeeek.
If you are looking for some new skincare to try, here is the tea.
Everyone seems to be raving about Sofie Pavitt (this seems to be the most popular product), I am curious to try it. Anyone out there love it?? I also have heard lots of buzz about Monastery. The discovery kit for $32 seems like a good place to start.
Then there is Jan Marini who everyone from Courtney Grow to Devon Lee Carlson (she talks about it here) and Kendall Jenner have raved about.
Home: I discovered this online shop, Miami Mercantile and they have so many affordable home goodies. I love the vintage candleholder for $35.
Love the colors on this vintage piece by Martha Hayden-Johnson via Casa Shop.
Also love the color of this Mark Rothko vintage table book via Etsy.
I suggest following Hannah Traore, founder of Hannah Traore Gallery for some amazing artist discoveries.
Love this little trinket dish via Etsy.
Listening: Solange is so fucking cool and talented. I saw someone say “she builds her brand like a museum” and I think that is so true.
If you are local to Minneapolis you may be familiar with the band, Night Moves, but if you are not- you should get to know them! I think they were in my top 5 most listened to artist of last year. They just announced a new LP and dropped a single that I have been playing nonstop.
They describe themselves as “Cosmic Twang Rock Disco Fog Sludge band from Minneapolis.” (Night Moves)
Reading: This gives me true joy.
Speaking of Solange, this recent Interview article was a good read. A conversation between Solange and Rainer Judd.
I am starting Jeffrey Eugenides’s book, Middlesex. Next may be The Marriage Plot.
Thanks for readings friends! In case you missed it:
