Stuff I would buy at Zara right now, a vintage hat search, very very very good smelling hair oil, a song for the weekend + much more
FIVE
Happy weekend to you! Welcome to finds of the week:
Wearing: These Acne boots are following me. As seen on Andrea Ricci below. Also interested in the jeans she has on!! These Ganni boots scratch a similar itch. Or this Victoria Beckham pair. Alsooo these Khaite boots from The Real Real but they are not cheap!!
Stuff I would buy from Zara right now:
Off the shoulder dress. This fit looks magnificent.
A very sturdy trench coat with 100% cotton lining.
Full length straight jeans, liking the look of the fit on these.
Very into these ballet flats. It’s giving Sophie Buhai.
I’d wear this sweater daily.
Very flattering bootcut jeans.
A great vest for layering under blazers.
These shoes remind me of a very comfortable version of soccer cleats and I am into them.
These shorts, Spring will be upon us one day!!
And we have this sweetie Sandy Liang top that is a fun one.
Zoe Kravitz wore this vintage Sex and the City hat so now I must have said hat. It’s currently going for a small fee of $500 on eBay in black, $150 in orange or $90 in red.
I want every coat that Cawley puts out.
This Paloma Wool orange coucou beanie. Also in Ecru here. You can watch a video of it in action here.
Hair: This Amika hair oil honestly smells so good that it hurts me to share it with the world. It also doesn’t make my fine hair look greasy and adds a bit of shine and separation. But THE SMELL. I actually found an unused bottle on Poshmark for a good price so keep your eyes peeled.
Also these hair clips by Lelet NY. The silver one specifically.
Skin: Let’s talk body oils! I have been testing out Hanni’s new dry body oil for the past month and it is my new holy grail. I use it after every shower and mix it in with lotion and it is simply theeee best- hydrating, quick drying, easy etc etc. If you are like me and loathe that feeling of lotiony/oily/sticky skin on dry clothes after a shower, you will love this!! It dries so fast and doesn’t leave you feeling goopy! Mark my words, you will love this.

In the same category of quick, fast drying, hydrating and non stickiness, we have my other favorite product, Speed Soak gel by Soft Services. This is what I use when I take a super quick shower and need something fast drying but super hydrating. I will let the description do the talking, “Made for active adults who have no time to wait for standard body creams to absorb, the gelcream formula is to parched skin what a gulp of water is to desert-dry mouths: essential, instant relief. Upon application moisture barrier function is restored, water reserves are optimized, and water circulation within the epidermis is maximized.” All of their products are incredible.
Sold out right now but this lipstick by Violette FR in Betise looks lovely. I love a smudgey undone lip as seen here.
Art: French sculptor, Auguste Rodin’s drawings.
Also, Frieze Art Fair is coming to Los Angeles from Feb 29th-March 3rd and I highly recommend buying tickets! I went last year and it was inspiring plus the people watching is top tier.
Home: The interior of The Row’s store in London featuring an art installation by James Turrell.
Also this home in Hayashisaki Matsue Beach in Japan (!!)
Reading: Dolly Alderton dropped her new book, Good Material, and I just found out she will be at the Grove in Los Angeles on March 5th for a discussion. I absolutely loved her book Everything I Know About Love. It’s also a free audiobook if you are a premium Spotify member!
Watching: The British mini series, One Day (based on the book and movie). It’s nostalgic and sweet. The movie and book are incredibly sad so be prepared!
Listening: Repeat. This song. All weekend. Here on Spotify.
Ingesting: I made this soup a few weeks ago and I am still thinking about it. I will probably make it again soon, it has mushrooms, leaks, ginger, bok choy, tofu and more and is sooooooo delicious and healthy.
Also Ghia and Awan ice cream are collaborating and wow. If you come to Los Angeles, Awan ice cream is insanely good- a must try!
Leaving you with this quote from Sofia Coppola about her film, Lost in Translation, that resonated with me this week.
"I wanted to do an intimate story between…two characters and the idea that you can meet someone and spend two days with them and that can be just as important as someone you’ve known for years."
Have a wonderful weekend x
Loved this!
