What to wear next as a wedding guest, timeless bags I have been loving, BED LINENS, the Belgian town of Geel, a charming author & artist Frank Bowling
FIVE
Hi hello! Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed some leisure and some fun?! Spring is here and this is a long one so buckle up!!! Let’s get into all the things that have my attention these days:
This past week and weekend I really dug into my small but decent bag collection and realized that I always come back to these three bags:

The St. Agni bag is just PERFECT. I wear it to do all the things, errands, going out for drinks, cafe’s etc. The Clare V and Baggu bag have really become my go to work bags. I can fit my laptop in the Baggu bag, it fits so much and the Clare V bag gives me The Row energy. I also will always love my go to “I’m going on a walk or hike” bag by Uniqlo.
I’ve been wanting to add a white bag to my collection and came across this one at Reformation that I was into:

But alas, I am holding out for my current dream bag which is the Modern Weaving relaxed basket bag in creme that I saw on Sissy Chacon.
Not to completely change topics but I came across this bedspread and loved the colors. Turns out it’s from Nakd and actually very affordable for a linen bed set!
I’d really love a piece by Frank Bowling to hang right above this bed set or really anywhere in my house.
“Bowling has been hailed as one of the foremost British artists of his generation. Born in Guyana in 1934, he arrived in London in 1953, graduating from the Royal College of Art with the silver medal for painting in 1962. By the early 1960s, he was recognized as an assured force in London’s art scene. During this period, his highly individual language of painting, which emerged from expressionistic figuration and pop art, encompassed autobiographical elements and the artist’s socio-political concerns.”
Speaking of Summer colors (it’s close)!! This is the first Summer in a long time that I have no weddings to attend but I know lots of friends who are busy wedding bees so I did some browsing and here are some options I wouldn’t mind slipping into and maybe you would too? We’ll start in the more expensive realm and work our way down, starting off strong with Australian brand Christopher Esber:
Then we have this incredible Khaite dress:
The le classic black dresses:

COLORS!! I think being a wedding guest is the perfect moment to wear all the colors. Here are some simple bright solids:
Some understated colors:

Lastly, these two from St. Agni because they look like they cling perfectly to your skin and everything they do is exquisite:

Okay as for the purses and shoes I would wear to a wedding, it goes like this:
And we have our secondhand options from Depop! These are all so good:

AND THESE I’M SORRY I CAN’T STOP:

Purses!
These bags from Porto are delightful as well and have been on my list for a while:
Some great reads! This New York Times article called, “A Radical Experiment in Mental Health Care, Tested Over Centuries,”, talks about a Belgian town called Geel where families take in people with psychiatric and mental conditions. The below photo killed me, a hopeful and important article that highlights the potential to transform the way we approach mental health care and support people with mental illness.
I also watched this YouTube series with Maurice Sendak, author of Where The Wild Things Are and found him charming, eccentric, honest and quirky.
Thanks for making it this far! Some final tidbits, like this incredible looking choco cherry sleep-aid latte (I will be making this), Salt & vinegar chips on a salad umm TRYING, and lastly the President of Ireland and his dogs!
If you would be so kind to like and share, I thank you in advance!! Thanks and see you next time <3
