and some non sephora favorites (!)
Unfortunately for me (my bank account), I am an eager beauty consumer. I love it and find getting ready and trying new products makes my mornings more creative and fun! I have tried a lotttttttt- if you have seen my bathroom, it is an oasis of products. Come into my bathroom and let me paint you.
I have friends who have one of each product so one blush, one foundation and so on, and while very honorable for the planet and capitalism etc etc, I can’t relate!! What if you are in a peachy pink mood for your cheeks instead of a cool mauve? What if you want to try a little dash of a cool bronzer (not warm, that’s for other things) as eyeshadow? Or used your blush colors for eyeshadow or lipstick!! What if it’s the holidays and you need a sparkly eyeshadow to reflect off the twinkling lights!! Anyways, you get the gist.
This more so goes for makeup, I am pretty loyal and stick to more clean brands when it comes to skincare so this is a little makeup round up with a splash of skincare I love.
I deep dive on beauty Reddit to see what the peeeeople are saying. I haven’t been strayed wrong yet.
This is what I actually have in my Sephora cart right now.
The Kulfi lip tint looked so good and different because it’s glossy somehow?? And this ad that continuously was on my feed by Violette FR for the bisou balm finally got me.
I do not like perfumes, I only use oils as scents (my favorite is the Aesop ginger flight therapy oil) so when I like a perfume, that’s saying something! I think they all smell the same and slightly like chemicals. This Phlur Missing Person scent is super light and settles very nicely on the skin.
And these are my gooooo to’s for the face, repurchased multiple times staples.
It’s all about what’s under your makeup to get that glowy look- I love the Saie super glow gel and a good moisturizer like the Dieux Instant Angel one.
Never have more compliments then when I wear my Westman Atelier complexion drops, they are just perfect.
I’ve used the Glossier concealer for yeeears, it’s just good. The Armani eye tint in Cedar is everything- makes your eyes pop and is seriously so easy to use.
Not at Sephora but I’ve been wearing this Erborian BB Cream SPF 20 daily and it’s superb.
And if you’re willing to spend the money, Cle de Peau concealer takes the cake.
If the amount of bronzers are overwhelming you, let me break it down.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand (8)- this makes you look SNATCHED as I said. I wear this when I go out at night or when I want a bit more glam but it’s still very natural. Makes your cheekbones look crazyy. So this would be for someone looking for some oomph.
Makeup by Mario SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer (3)- the name is waaaay too long and intense lol. This is definitely an every day, suuuper natural bronze glow. Depending on how dark you go, it’s a barely there look but still gives some warmth. If you are looking to dip your toe into the bronzing pool, here you go.
Westman Atelier Sun Tone Bronzing Drops (9)- these are simply perfection. This is a true, I was on vacation or laid out in the sun bronzing look on the face (I posted a video of me using it here). You can build this up or make it super natural.
Westman Atelier Contour stick (5)- this is a super cool toned contour stick, it’s more of a shadow on your face if that makes sense. I use this to chisel out my cheek bones, my nose and eyes. This is a beautiful product to bring some depth and angles to the face.
SIMIHAZE Skin Suede Melting Bronze Balm (10)- this is my every day bronzer/contour, I think it’s right in the middle. This brand is slept on!! I just ordered two blushes from them. Also this was a Katie Jane Hughes rec so it speaks for itself!
And my favorite…blushes. A blush is everything!!
My blush drawer is the most crowded spot in my bathroom. I love blushes, if I could only pick three things things to leave the house with, they would be blush, eyebrow gel and lipstick.
If you are looking for an everyday looks great on everybody liquid blush, I’d go with the Nars Afterglow liquid blush. It’s a beauty.
Stains are my favorite for the Summer- the benetint is a classic staple while the Milk Beauty is a cooling formula that is a vibrant pop of color.
Also, I can’t not mention my favorite Olio e Osso blushes, I brought two colors with me on my trip. They are simply my favorite (not sold at Sephora). You can’t go wrong with a color.
As I said above, I just ordered two SIMIHAZE blushes (also not on Sephora). They look great, I am very impressed by this brand.
Here is my order, I’m excited!
Lips! Lips complete the look. A bare face and a bolder lip is chefs kiss.
I mean, the Merit tinted lip oil in Au Naturel will always be a favorite. Same with the Clinique in black honey, it’s a perfect sheer mulberry color.
The Gucci lipstick is a beauty. It’s very blurred and just been kissed vibe.
They still have the brand Caliray at Sephora but they stopped stocking my favorite gloss from them, it’s this. Guys, it’s so good.
Not pictured are the only two lip liners I would purchase from Sephora- Makeup Forever (I have three shades- wherever walnut, anywhere caffeine and endless cacao. I love and use all of them) and the Kosas Hotliner.
But my absolute top tier, always have with me, favorite lip liners of all time are not sold at Sephora- they are Victoria Beckham’s lip definer in 04 and the Fara Homidi liner in faun. They are down to the stubs and I use them daily- holy graiiiiils.
I don’t think mascaras are worth spending a lot of money on, I use drug stores ones or I really like the Make Beauty one.
The only eyeliner I use is the Pat McGrath one with my Armani eye tint. It has the best staying power. Tight lining is everything.
For brows, I am a loyal fan of Kosas, I have repurchased the brow pop defining brow pencil mannnny times. For eyebrow gel- I think drug store is great. I’ve mention the Elf wow brow here and the Maybelline brow glue. I get my brows waxed and I tint them myself time to time so all I need is a little glue to keep them lifted.
