Things I want to steal from my Mom after being home for 2 weeks, some very good on sale items, if anyone is going to France- I need these two products + more.
FIVE
We are basically in August, can you believe it? Because I certainly cannot. Hope you are soaking up your Summer rays.
I have been back home visiting Minneapolis for the past 2 weeks and staying with my parents. Ohhh how I have missed having a backyard, grounding my feet in real grass and the quietness, so nice to be home.
While here, I have had the pleasure of being able to explore all the goodies in my Mom’s closet, skincare cabinets etc. My favorite thing to do! Here are some of the things I will be immediately adding to cart:
I have been dying to try the Jones Road miracle balm as I have heard so many amazing things about it and I was very glad to find it in my Mom’s makeup bag and yes, it is worth the hype. It also looks very natural and beautiful on the eyes.
NEXT, we have this truly amazing anti aging body balm by OSEA. This is probably my favorite body skincare find in a while, my Mom came out of the house for a walk and her skin looked amazing- it makes your skin look firm and smooth and smells lovely. I will be purchasing the big bottle.
Next up, I really loved this hair spray especially for after a dip in the lake, it really helps to create that beachy look. I also tried this deodorant by Primally Pure and was impressed, it also smells incredibly good.
My Mom used to make jewelry so her collection is lovely to sift through. This necklace specifically I tried to runaway with but was caught and sadly had to hand it back over. I was unable to find it online but you can find similar on Etsy.
If you want to smell really really good, these:
Then we have the perfect oversized blouse that I immediately fell in love with and it’s Gap! The organic cotton big shirt. Trust me when I say this would be something you would reach for again and again in your closet. This was a size large and it fit perfectly.
My Mom thinks the collar is the most important part of a blouse, I asked her to pull her favorite collar from her closet and here we have it. This is the classic shirt by Banana Republic. The collar really is good.
My Mom picked up the below sunscreen when she was in France and I used it while I was here and did not get sunburnt(!), I also liked that it wasn’t sticky and felt easy to put on without getting everywhere. I also really loved this basket bag to put your Summer picnic and towels in.
Then we have this piece of art by Kerry Rolewicz that I just love. Check our her work here.
Also here is a Mom reveal, wearing the Gap organic cotton big shirt and her favorite Ruti pants.
Thanks Mom for sharing all your favorites with your favorite daughter!
A few more things on my mind:
If you have been to the No. 6 store in NYC, you know they have some major goodies. And their sale right now is reallyyyyy good, I bought the below skirt from their sale and have been wearing it all Summer. This one is sold out but I have my eye on this one by the same brand (Halo Labels).
Here are my picks from their sale: SERAPIS Knit Sweater, Atelier Delphine Dakota Skirt, OpéraSPORT Finley Jeans in white, Black Crane Balloon Jumpsuit, Amomento black tank, Simone Wild Net Bodysuit, OpéraSPORT Claudette long sleeve shirt, AYNI Maywa Skirt, Amomento wide blue grey jeans, Lauren Manoogian scarf WOW, Lauren Manoogian Split Pants, Sultan baggy jeans, B Sides Brit Jean + Reike Nen Piping Velcro Mold Sandals.
I have been eyeing this Light Beams barrier treatment. The ingredients look amazing.
I saw Hailey Bieber use these two on TikTok and I am INTRIGUED. She used Makeup Forever HD Skin Cream Contour and Highlight palette + Armani Eye Tint.
Sophie Buhai tiny onyx choker.
If anyone is going to France, please pick me up the A313 Retinol and the Laluset Hyaluronic Acid Cream. I will pay you!! These have a cult following.
James Street Co is having their end of season sale, 30%. off everything. I have talked about their sweaters many times in this newsletter, I highhhhhly suggest you take the plunge!
Have you seen Barbie yet? Oppenheimer? Past Lives? I saw Barbie and Past Lives, both I highly recommend but Past Lives is heart wrenching in a bittersweet way, and still is my favorite movie I have seen this year.
Recent good follows: Jessi Regina (incredible style, my new favorite follow), Celine Song (write and Director of Past Lives, a must see movie), Casa Ayllon (need it all).
Thank you for reading, see you next time! x
Thank you, favorite daughter, for your visit, it was WONDERFUL to have you home ! (But perhaps I should check your bags before you leave? 😅) And thank you for your artistic and amazing eye for all things beautiful, and for sharing it here with us. ❤️
Love ur mom!! Love this post so much
