This Is What Happens When It Rains For A Week Straight And I Open Ssense/Depop/Mango/J.Crew/The RealReal/Etsy
My June scroll report
Happy Wednesday again! I hope you are experiencing better weather than we have been, it went from being cold and rainy to 95 degrees with thick humidity. So I am hoping for some better Summer days ahead! I am still as pale as I was in March.
I feel like it’s been a while!! Today we are talking a lot of goodies:
my Summer shopping damage (Ssense, Mango, J.Crew, The RealReal)
Depop finds for you
some beauty favorites that were sent to me and now a part of my daily routine
my hair colorist taught me a life changing dry shampoo trick (I may be a newb for this)
a great hair color someone should add to their Pinterest board
original art and very cute custom lamps via Etsy
my Spotify playlists that I put my blood, sweat and tears into
*this post is too long for email so make sure to read it in the Substack app*
Wear: I’ve done some Summer shopping! I have been very curious about the hype around the Flore Flore tops so I ordered a few colors from Ssense and I get it, I get it.
I have already ripped the tag off the navy color as this is the sort of top that I will wear daily. I am debating the yellow tee as the color is gorg for Summer. They really are great tops, 100% cotton, thick and look luxurious.
There are some good Flore Flore options for less on The RealReal like this long sleeve yellow top and this one.
A few more things I tried on from my Ssense haul- I loved this sheer polka dot shirt by Paloma Wool. Had to try one of the long sleeves from Flore Flore (also perfect) and lastly this black t-shirt by Skims that is my ideal loose tee (I got a size large).
Another thing I purchased was this Mango swimsuit. It’s cute and the top and bottom are both on sale for $22.
I also picked up these two tops (same top both colors hehe) from J.Crew because they remind me of Doen for 1/2 the price. This is me in the dressing room trying them on but I am picturing pairing the white with a pair of white linen shorts and black sandals sort of like this.
I also did some work at the in person sale at J.Crew- so many things are 50% off!! I got this skirt I had been eyeing for a while and grabbed it in a medium so I can wear it more low rise. I also bought these shorts and am SO PLEASED. (BECAUSE) I have been pining for these EB denim portman shorts and the J.Crew pair are tiding me over. I don’t love the gold buttons but I wear it with a belt and they are adorbs.
I also can’t get this Doen top out of my head and these perfect lace shorts that are nearly sold out.
If I were a size 8.5, I would buy these Herue sandals via The RealReal for $196. And this absolute beauty of a red Issey Miyake top.
Fun Summer little pumps from my hearts that aren’t my size!! Size 8 on The RealReal, I have beef with you.
I am so envious of whoever got this STUNNING Issey Miyake top from The RealReal.
Now onto some Depop finds, it’s been a while since I’ve done this!

A score for me this week on Depop was this skirt by Sir (originally $420) and I got it for $80. I had been eyeing this low rise Onia skirt and the Depop Gods shined down on me.
I ordered these Hanky Panky undies when Shopbop was having a sale and they are definitely my go to’s. Soooo comfy.
I also love the brand Sirens, they have some great panties and swimsuits.
Anyways, I have been hyper fixated on trying to find a Ludovic De Saint Sernin bag for less and if you are in Paris this weekend, you may very well do such that!
And then seeing the bag on Paige Reifler’s story made me double down on my search and I found this silver version on Vestiaire.
I could cry that this dress is on The RealReal for $1,845.
Beauty: I have (so very kindly) been sent a few things (still can’t believe this) that I have added to my daily routine. Ursa Major sent me some of their products and I have been loving their vitamin C, it’s light weight, clean and has a nice smell. A great place to start with vitamin C. I also love their eye cream, it melts onto my skin.
I also was sent these beautiful products by Japanese brand Abe & Mason. I have been savoring every drop. They sent me their rejuvenating serum and haguro moisturizing cream and I cannot emphasize how plump and hydrated my skin looks when I wake up.
And lastly, DAMDAM Tokyo just sent me some products and I cannot wait to try! I have heard nothing but good things so stay tuned.
Also, my hairdresser taught me a dry shampoo trick that I was unaware of! You actually put the dry shampoo in before your hair starts to get greasy, so for me this starts the same day that I shower. I have been putting it in before I go to bed and it has been LIFE CHANGING. I use the Aveda dry shampoo or Crown Affair, they both smell delightful.
Harris Dickinson for Rhode, I love. I watched his chicken shop date and IMMEDIATE crush.
Sofie Pavitt on what treatments to get before an event and when. Saved!! (side note I am LOVING my mandelic acid exfoliating & clearing serum.
As I was scrolling the Zara website, I came across this model with a Pinterest save worthy hair color. Someone’s Summer hair appt is calling!!
Home: Some original art via Etsy! Love these little framed oil paintings.
This Brett Weston poster.
A Marc Chagall original lithography.
Love this one as well.
A framed vintage Picasso print.
I discovered this Etsy shop (DuzyDesigns) with the cutest custom lamps. On my list for my next place.
The new collection at Tekla is romantic and elegant! I love the scalloped edges.
Reading: A great Substack by a former RealReal employee- so many tips and tricks to find those gems.
I am still painfully working my way through Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, I’m not sure why I am having such a hard time getting through it. I think it’s because there is not really a page turning plot as of yet and more so a long story so I am having a hard time connecting with any of the characters. That being said, his writing is genuinely incredible and every sentence blows my mind. His brain!! I have hope that I will start to get more into it.
Two Substacks I highly suggest you pay a subscription (or at the minimum just subscribe) for are Books and Bits by Pandora Sykes and As Seen On by Ochuko Akpovbovbo. They are worth every penny, you will be informed, want to pick up good books and they are both incredibly gifted writers.
Enjoyed this read via Cultured on Annabelle Dexter-Jones’s engagement and how her fiance gifted her a sitting and portrait with artist Francesco Clemente. Her ring is so cool and unique, designed by Joel Arthur Rosenthal.
This Atmos article, Across the Natural World, Migration Is Sacred—and Critical.
“All across the Earth, in its seas and skies, over manmade borders, courageous crossings and voyages are underway: generations making sacrifices for the ones to follow, seeking new suns, carrying culture and songs, sustaining and shaping life along the way. From Los Angeles to Gaza, all beings should be free to roam or remain. For ferried in the refrain of every whalesong, in every breeze that monarchs float on, nature reminds us that migration is sacred.”
Watching: Guys, I am watching Ginny and Georgia and can’t stop. I am also watching The Penguin. I was STUNNED when I realized it was Colin Farrell. Dark but incredible.
Listening: Over time I have been curating the best playlists of all time.
The first is titled litty and includes bangers like Girlfight by Brooke Valentine and Knuck if you buck, also Doechii and GloRilla.
Then we pivot to girl core and this is just the girl jams. We yam and we jam. Includes the likes of Suki Waterhouse to Nike & The Dove to Michelle Branch to Sinead O’Connor. We are in our feels and we are liking it. It’s been my go to.
Lastly my SU25 playlist that I will continue add to this Summer. Seems like the song of the Summer is Olivia Dean’s, Nice To Each Other also included on this playlist. Also, can you tell I’m a big fan of Suki Waterhouse?? Her new album!!!!!
Ingesting: Via my Instagram stories, I have been making this tuna salad and it’s so light and refreshing. You can also swap out the tuna for beans or lentils- really anything. Honey + salt in a dressing is perfection.
